St. Charles welcomes Muscle Maker Grill
Muscle Maker Grill, a health-conscious restaurant, recently opened in downtown St. Charles with lifelong resident Jose Venegas and Jeff Cade at the helm. Catering to active lifestyles, the restaurant's menu boasts many lean, protein-based options. For instance, the Mona Lisa comes with grilled chicken breast, reduced-fat cheddar cheese, romaine, tomatoes and onions with a low-carb signature sauce in a whole wheat wrap; it weighs in at less than 400 calories and costs $5.99. Or, try the Godfather, a grilled chicken breast, portabella mushrooms, red roasted peppers, reduced fat mozzarella and a gluten- and fat-free balsamic vinaigrette for $9.99.

TL's Chinese New Year
Welcome the Year of the Horse at TL's Four Seasons Chinese and Japanese Restaurant with a special menu and champagne toast. Entree selections include black peppered garlic beef, crunchy garlic shrimp, basil garlic chicken, snapper and shanghai scallops, teriyaki chicken or beef, combination dinner, sushi deluxe and rolls feast. The celebratory menu costs $20 (tax and tip extra) and is available through Sunday, Feb. 2.

Rosebud Schaumburg changes hands
Rosebud Old World Italian in Schaumburg was recently sold to Andy-John Kalkounos, part owner of Chicago Prime Steakhouse on Algonquin Road in Schaumburg. The location remains open while taking on a new identity, and it will stay an Italian restaurant serving only dinner.
