Due to the freeze, something ruptured in the garage and it seemed that torrents of water were threatening to flood the garage. I was unable to turn the water off on my own so I called for help to 911.

Thank you, 911, for contacting all the right people I needed to help me. I am so grateful to our water department. Thank each and every one; those on the phone and those who came to my house to take care of the problem, especially the fine young man who returned to light the pilot light on the water heater, which I again was unable to do on my own.

Nothing like not being able to soak in a hot tub to humble you.

Yes, I am a senior and thank you again 911, fire department and water department. I am proud to say I live in Carpentersville, Ill.
