Carol Stream man charged with child porn

A Carol Stream man has been charged with three counts of child pornography, Carol Stream police said in a statement Friday.

Christopher C. Gatti, 21, of the 500 block of Chippewa Trail, was arrested Friday after a monthlong investigation. A Wheaton detective initiated the investigation when he became aware of possible criminal activity at the residence.

A search warrant was obtained and on Friday Carol Stream police along with DuPage County sheriff’s detectives and Wheaton police seized computer equipment and evidence of child pornography.

Gatti was arrested and charged with three felony counts of aggravated possession of child pornography, since the children were younger than 13.

Gatti was processed and transported to the DuPage County jail to await a bond hearing.
