Gurnee-based library trustee wanted:

Warren-Newport Public Library District in Gurnee continues to seek a replacement for a trustee who resigned in 2013. Applications are being accepted to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Mary Ann Bretzlauf last fall. The board will hold interviews and make an appointment for the one-year term in March. Letters of interest are due Feb. 28 and must be sent Socrates Rivers, Vice President/ Interim President, Board of Trustees, Warren-Newport Public Library District, 224 N. O’Plaine Road, Gurnee, 60031. Library trustees meet monthly to establish policies, approve and monitor the annual budget, determine the library’s service program, keep abreast of law and standards in the field and employ the executive director.
