District 207 students selected for IMEA All-State Conference

Ten Maine Township High School District 207 students have successfully auditioned and are participating in the Illinois Music Educators Association’s All-State Conference in Peoria, which began Wednesday and will run through Saturday, Jan. 25.

Students auditioned in October among thousands from the North and Northwest suburbs for these highly competitive spots.

Selected from Maine South are Elizabeth Bellisario (Orchestra); Alex Campbell (Jazz Band); Conor Flynn (Orchestra); Livvie Goble (Choir); Alyssa LaTragna (Future Music Educators Seminar); Greta Ramsey (Choir); Trevor Ross (Choir); Mark Tamvakis (Choir); and Rohini Venkat (Choir).

Selected from Maine West is Nichole Goumas (Band).

Students spend the week rehearsing and then performing with top musicians from across the state and prestigious guest conductors from across the country.
