Cure cabin fever at Winter Blast fundraising event

Kick those winter blues by attending the Barrington 220 Educational Foundation’s annual social fundraiser, “Winter Blast! A Night in the North Woods.”

The winter-themed event will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at the Biltmore Country Club in North Barrington. Guests will enjoy entertainment by R&B band Todd Hembrook and the Hemispheres and have the opportunity to participate in a live and silent auction. Don’t forget your mittens and boots. If there is snow on the ground, there will be sledding on the golf course.

Leave your evening gown or tuxedo at home for this winter casual event. The dress code calls for warm woolen sweaters and jeans.

Tickets are $100 and available for purchase on the Educational Foundation’s website, www.barrington220.org/domain/2514.

Event goers will be served a light dinner. There will be a cash bar. RSVP by Wednesday, Jan. 29.

The Barrington 220 Educational Foundation is a nonprofit, volunteer organization. The group “finds the funds” for initiatives that enhance learning but are not otherwise supported by tax revenues.
