Polish murder suspect deported

Associated Press

Federal immigration authorities say they’ve deported a Polish murder suspect found living in the Chicago area.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement says 25-year-old Pawel Wojciech Chrzanovski was turned over to Polish law enforcement authorities in Warsaw on Thursday.

Federal officials say he is wanted in Poland in connection with a March 2013 stabbing death in Krakow. U.S. officials say he fled to the Chicago area to avoid prosecution in Poland.

Federal officers arrested Chrzanovski at his job in Park Ridge on Nov. 18.
