Scouts Provide Warmth and Comfort

Saint Mary Parish Cub Scout Pack 140 helped make this holiday season a little merrier for more than a dozen needy children. At the December Pack meeting, led by Wolf Den Leaders Steve Flanagan & Colleen Steward, the Cub Scouts worked diligently to make sixteen fleece blankets for Project Linus. Project Linus is an organization whose mission is to "provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer “blanketeers.”". The Cub Scouts were excited to be involved in this project and were happy to know that the results of their hard work would soon be in the arms of some deserving children.
