Record performances from Libertyville at Warren

Libertyville’s relays made quite the splash Thursday night.

The foursome of Northwestern-bound Alex Snarski, Atticus Rush, Matt Harrington and Bobby Snader set three pool records in leading the host Wildcats to a 115-70 win over Warren.

Libertyville’s 200-yard medley relay went 1:36.80, breaking the previous pool record of 1:39.57. The Wildcats’ 200 freestyle relay then clocked a 1:27.12 (old record 1:28.59), before the 400 free relay established a third pool mark, going 3:12.89 (old record 3:15.23).

Libertyville’s Justin Fu sped to wins in the 50 free (22.13) and 100 butterfly (53.95). The Wildcats also received first-place efforts from Rush in the 200 IM (2:04.72), Patrick Birck in diving (219.40), Harrington in the 100 free (47.14), Pat King in the 500 free (5:18.69), Snarski in the 100 backstroke (51.71) and Mark Boynton in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.27).
