Candlelight Bowl to benefit Dist. 15 Special Olympics

The Blue Jays, District 15’s Special Olympics team, will host “A Night for the Blue Jays” Candlelight Bowl on Saturday, Feb. 8, at AMF Hoffman Lanes, 80 E. Higgins Road in Hoffman Estates.

In addition to cocktails, dinner, and bowling — all by candlelight — the event will offer live and silent auction opportunities and raffle prizes. All proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the District 15 Special Olympics program, and will be used to purchase uniforms, equipment, and supplies for the Blue Jays team, which operates strictly on fundraising.

Tickets to “A Night for the Blue Jays” cost $30 per person and include dinner, bowling and shoe rental. Cocktails will be served at 7 p.m., and dinner at 7:30 p.m. Bowling will begin at 9 p.m., and dessert will be served following the first game.

Additionally, the Blue Jays would greatly appreciate contributions from area merchants and vendors interested in supporting the program by donating auction and raffle items. Corporate sponsorship opportunities are also available. Those who donate between $100 and $499 will be listed as sponsors on the Blue Jays webpage, and donors who contribute more than $500 will be listed as sponsors on the website and receive a Blue Jays Supporter plaque.
