Elk Grove Vocal Jazz Ensemble in All-State preview show

The Elk Grove High School Vocal Jazz Ensemble has been selected as an All-State Performance Ensemble for the prestigious 2014 Illinois Music Educators’ Conference.

The ensemble auditioned, along with hundreds of others throughout the state, for the opportunity to perform at the All-State Conference in January. This honor enables them to perform in Peoria at the All-State Conference at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 24.

An All-State Preview Show will be at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 17, in the Elk Grove High School Theater to showcase the music set Elk Grove’s Vocal Jazz Ensemble will be performing at the conference. Admission is free and a short reception will be held immediately following the performance.

Vocal Jazz Ensemble members include singers Lilly Banach, Tommy Dowd, Olivia Fritz, Nicole Miceli, Jordan Niebuhr, Eddie Pacquer, Pascal Pahl, Peter Pendowski, Jeffrey Scala, Katie Skoufes, and Brandi Weik.

Accompanying them are instumentalists Trent Cwiok, Jeremy Dembrowski, Bill Frentzas and Matthew Nowak.
