Free physician lectures on infections, prescription drug use

Centegra Health System will sponsor free physician lectures this January about urinary tract infections and the do’s and don’ts of prescription drug use. Call (877) CENTEGRA to register.
Ÿ Dr. Tamra Lewis, an independent board-certified urologist, will present, “Don’t Get Sidetracked By Urinary Tract Infections.” She will share common misconceptions and facts about these common infections and present ways to manage them. Lewis will also share progressive tips people can use to prevent UTIs from sidetracking their everyday lives. This free lecture will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, at Centegra Health Bridge Fitness Center-Crystal Lake.
Ÿ Pang Chong, a registered pharmacist with Centegra Health System, will discuss “Prescription Drug Use: the Do’s and don’ts” from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29 at Centegra Health Bridge Fitness Center-Huntley. He will share reasons why prescription and over-the-counter drugs are some of the most commonly abused substances. Chong will teach how misusing and abusing these medications can harm your body and mental health.
