Harper lecture series comes to The Garlands

Expand your horizons at a lecture series developed by the Harper College Continuing Education Lifelong Learning Institute and co-sponsored by the Barrington Area Council on Aging and The Garlands of Barrington.

The series will run from January through May; the six lectures offered include:

Ÿ Egyptian History: 4,000 Years In 90 Minutes

Ÿ Short Story Treasures

Ÿ Mongolia: The Farthest Horizon

Ÿ Degas-His Life & Times

Ÿ The Civil War at 150

Ÿ Treasures of Colonial Mexico

Classes will meet at The Garlands of Barrington, 1000 Garlands Lane, Barrington. All classes meet for one day only, except for “Short Story Treasures,” which meets weekly from Jan. 27 through April 28. Cost ranges from free to $50.
