Elgin 59, Elgin Academy 25: Putting away the game early, the Maroons (5-9) were able to play every player on their bench en route to a victory at the Elgin City Classic at Harvest Christian. Abby Pierre-Louis was the only Maroon in double-figures, finishing with 10 points, as Elgin had 12 different players score. Maggie Powers and Melanie Berg scored 8 points each for Elgin. Streamwood 55, St. Charles East 46: After a strong showing at the Mundelein Tournament over the holidays, finishing with the consolation title, the Sabres (7-7, 2-2) picked right back up by winning their fourth straight game in an Upstate Eight Conference River Division matchup at home. Finishing with 19 points, including 3 3-pointers, Holly Foret led the Sabres in what would be a career night for the senior and set the pace early for the game. “We got off to a great start. Burlington Central 80, North Boone 27: With all but two of their players scoring, the Rockets (13-2, 5-0) continue their season-long dominance over the Big Northern East. Five Rocket players scored in double-figures, while all but one sat out the fourth quarter after leading 63-18 at the end of the third. Kayla Ross, Aly DeTamble and Rebecca Gerke each finished with 10 points for Burlington, while teammate Shelby Holt added 11 and Samantha Pryor led all Rockets with 12.

Neuqua Valley 61, Bartlett 43: After going 2-2 at the Charger Classic Christmas Tournament at Dundee-Crown, the Hawks (9-8, 4-1) were looking to continue their hot start in Upstate Eight Valley play, but had trouble getting their offense going on the road.
