Burglars hit Arlington Hts. auto parts business

Burglars broke into a vehicle parts business in Arlington Heights overnight Thursday and stole thousands of dollars in parts and office equipment, police said.

According to police, the break-in occurred sometime between 11 p.m. Wednesday and 9:40 a.m. Thursday at a business in the 2000 block of South Arlington Heights Road.

The offender, or offenders, entered the office building with no signs of force to the exterior doors, forced open a wooden hallway door to enter the business and removed three turbo chargers, valued at $1,300 each, four forged wheel and tire combinations, valued at $1,200 each, four tires, valued at $700 each, as well as other items.
