Nearly 60 Advocate Health Care physicians are named as Top Docs by Chicago Magazine. in its January edition.

The list recognizes physicians across Chicagoland who are nominated by their peers. Chicago Magazine partners with Castle Connolly Medical, a New York City-based health care research company, to highlight the list of outstanding physicians in Chicago’s six-county area for the biennial survey.

The Advocate physicians who made the 2014 list are affiliated with Advocate Christ Medical Center, Advocate Condell Medical Center, Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, Advocate Dreyer Medical Group, Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Advocate Sherman Hospital, Advocate South Suburban Hospital and Advocate Trinity Hospital.

“We are honored to have our physicians named as some of the finest in the region,” said Jim Skogsbergh, president and chief executive officer of Advocate Health Care. “The recognition reflects their commitment to providing the safest and highest quality of care to those patients we are privileged to serve.”

Surveys were sent to all licensed physicians in the country. The questionnaires asked them to nominate doctors in their own specialties and primary care physicians who they believed are among the best in their field based on education, board certification and bedside manner.
