Hoffman mayor appointed to NLC committee

Hoffman Estates Mayor William McLeod has been appointed to the National League of Cities (NLC) 2014 Transportation Infrastructure & Services Steering Committee.

This committee has the lead responsibility for developing NLC federal policy positions on issues involving transportation, including planning, funding, safety and security of public transit, streets and highways, aviation, railroads and ports.

“I am glad to serve on the NLC’s Transportation Infrastructure & Services Steering Committee as it gives Hoffman Estates a voice on a national stage for issues of significant importance to our community,” McLeod said. “I look forward to working with the committee on issues that are important not just for our residents, but also to citizens throughout our country.”
