Veterans and families invited to free workshop on money management

Money problems can cause significant stress for any family.

Veterans and their families can learn how to better handle financial challenges through a free two-hour presentation at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9.

Sponsored by the Lake-McHenry Veterans and Family Services program, the Lake Villa District Library and Consumer Credit Counseling Services of McHenry/Lake counties, the workshop will be held at the Lake Villa District Library, 1001 E. Grand Avenue in Lake Villa.

Those who attend will receive budgeting tools and techniques to help individuals become familiar with the skills necessary for personal money management.

Refinancing, foreclosures and bankruptcy will be among topics covered in the workshop led by a National Foundation for Credit Counseling certified financial professional.

This workshop is open to the general public.

Reservations are not required.
