Sustainability topic of meeting:

The Lake County Regional Planning Commission hosts a special meeting at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, at the Lake County Division of Transportation, 600 W. Winchester Road, Libertyville. This meeting is in addition to the regularly scheduled January 2014 Regional Planning Commission meeting. The Chicago Area Metropolitan Agency for Planning and consultants will review the goals, policies and indicators for the sustainability chapter of the county’s comprehensive plan during two meetings. The land use, energy, waste, and economy sections of the chapter will be reviewed Jan. 7. Upon the final recommendation by the RPC, municipal and public open houses will be held and the document will be reviewed by the county board’s planning, building and zoning committee.
