Police: Woman arrested with loaded gun at Midway
A suburban Chicago woman faces charges after allegedly trying to bring a loaded handgun into Midway International Airport.
Twenty-five-year-old Josephine Coleman of Country Club Hills was charged with boarding an aircraft with a weapon. She was ordered held Sunday in lieu of $25,000.
Chicago police reports show she was arrested Saturday after she allegedly placed a bag containing a loaded handgun on a Transportation Security Administration X-ray machine.
Police say Coleman says she didn’t realize the gun was in the bag.
According to a police report she has a valid Firearm Owner’s Identification card. She told police she’s in the military.
