Rep. Conroy announces January Advisory Committees

VILLA PARK, Ill. – Rep. Deb Conroy, D-Villa Park, is encouraging residents to join one of her advisory committees that will meet during the month of January. Advisory committees meeting this month include: Senior Concerns (Jan. 8), Women's Issues (Jan. 9), Veterans' Issues (Jan. 16), and Public Safety (Jan. 23).

“As we approach a new year and new legislative session I want to encourage area residents to join one of my various advisory committees,” said Conroy. “Advisory committees offer residents that are interested in specific topics a way to become part of the public discourse.”

All advisory committee meetings, except Senior Concerns, meet at Rep. Conroy's constituent services office located at 28 S. Villa Ave. in Villa Park from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The Senior Concerns advisory committee meeting will meet at the Villa Park Community Recreation Center located at 320 E. Wildwood Ave. in Villa Park from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

“Discussions during advisory committee meetings have resulted in important legislation that will benefit the 46th district that I will advocate for in the upcoming spring session,” said Conroy. “The insights that I receive from my constituents during these meetings help me represent District 46. By bringing different perspectives to the table and working together we can move toward finding legislative solutions that will help benefit our communities and neighbors.”
