Dillard releases tax return information

Illinois gubernatorial candidate Kirk Dillard paid $76,000 in state and federal taxes in 2012 on $353,785 in income.

The Hinsdale Republican released his family’s income and tax information over the weekend.

Dillard is one of four Republicans seeking to challenge Democratic Gov. Pat Quinn next fall.

Dillard’s tax returns show his income comes from his legislative salary as a state senator and his role as a partner in his Chicago law firm. Dillard also reported $52 in lottery winnings last year.

Two other GOP gubernatorial bidders, venture capitalist Bruce Rauner (ROW’-nur) and Bloomington businessman Bill Brady, have also released tax return information in recent weeks.
