Celebrate the new year at museum

Celebrate the new year Dec. 30 and 31 with activities at the Lake County Discovery Museum, which is in the Lakewood Forest Preserve near Wauconda. Activities will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day. Crafts and a noon ball drop are planned. Admission is free with a ticket to the museum. Registration isn't required. Visit lcfpd.org for more details.
