Barrington H.S. band in London New Year’s Parade

Members of the Barrington High School Marching Band will be starting 2014 a little ahead of their classmates as they cross the Atlantic to participate in London’s New Year’s Day Parade. They will be among 10,000 participants who will be viewed by more than 500,000 people in person and more than 280 million in broadcasts worldwide. The band and its chaperones will be in the United Kingdom for a full week. They also will take part on Dec. 29 in the first half of a two-night concert at London’s Cadogan Hall featuring the American high school bands invited to participate in the New Year’s Day Parade.
