Alpha Delta Pi Alumna of Illinois State Receives Honor

The President of the Alpha Delta Pi Northwest Countryside Alumnae Association, Barbara Reed Bay, was recently honored by the Alpha Delta Pi Chapter at Illinois State University, Zeta Theta, by the establishment of an award for service. The Illinois State Chapter celebrated its 40th anniversary, and wished to honor Mrs. Bay, a charter member, and supporter of the sorority. In addition to being a charter member, Mrs. Bay has served on the Illinois State Chapter's Corporation Board for many years. She is now serving on the Corporation Board for the Alpha Delta Pi Chapter at Northern Illinois University. She has served as President of the Alpha Delta Pi Northwest Countryside Alumnae Association for over 20 years. She is involved in Alpha Delta Pi at the national level, having attended 11 International Grand Conventions. Because of Mrs. Bay's many years of service at various levels of Alpha Delta Pi, the Illinois State Chapter has established an annual award for achievement, accomplishments or service. All members of the chapter in good standing are eligible for nomination.

Alpha Delta Pi is committed to sisterhood, values and ethics, high academic standards and social responsibility. The principles of scholarship, leadership, sisterhood, and service guide over 235,000 women in more than 148 active collegiate chapters and over 150 alumnae associations of Alpha Delta Pi.
