Toy drive in Island Lake:
A gift drive benefiting people affected by the recent tornadoes in downstate Illinois concludes Friday in Island Lake. People can donate new toys or cash at village hall, 3720 Greenleaf Ave, between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. this week. Cash donations will be used to purchase gift cards. The toys and gift cards will be delivered Saturday.
