The Elk Grove Parks Foundation held a Spin-O-Thon Fundraiser from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at The Pavilion, 1000 Wellington Ave. in Elk Grove Village.

Funds raised will go to the foundation's scholarship program. Local officials took turns as celebrity riders, vying to attract donations.

The celebrities included village officials, Pavilion fitness staff, park board commissioners, members of Rotary, officials from Schaumburg Township School District 54 and Elk Grove Township School District 59, and representatives of many village organizations.
