Schaumburg Park District honors the Township of Schaumburg

The Schaumburg Park District Board of Commissioners at its Dec. 12 meeting honored the Township of Schaumburg as an outstanding 50th anniversary partner.

The Township was recognized for providing a variety of social services to the community. Disadvantaged residents benefit from the Township's food pantry, financial support and health and dental care. Disabled residents and seniors are provided transportation and enriching services and programs year-round. Counseling is made available to children, adults and seniors. Roadways of unincorporated areas also are maintained by the Township.

Schaumburg Park District Park Board meets at 7:30 p.m. the second Thursday of every month at the Jerry Handlon Administration Building, 235 E. Beech Drive. The District honored an organization each month during its 50th anniversary.
