Three Dog Night among new Arcada shows

The Arcada Theatre in St. Charles takes music fans back to the 1960s, ’70s and ’80s with three just-announced shows on sale now.

The Straits — featuring Dire Straits band members Alan Clark, Chris White and five hand-picked musicians — will perform at 8 p.m. Friday, March 7. The original Dire Straits produced such hits as “Money for Nothing” and “Sultans of Swing.” Tickets are $39-$69.

Three Dog Night plays the Arcada at 8 p.m. Friday, March 28. The rock band behind such hits as “Mama Told Me Not To Come” and “Old Fashioned Love Song” racked up 21 consecutive Top 40 songs from 1969 through the mid-70s. Tickets are $59-$99.

Lou Gramm, frontman of the rock band Foreigner, will perform 8 p.m. Saturday, June 7, Grammm rose to fame as the Foreigner vocalist on hits like “Cold As Ice,” “Waiting For A Girl Like You” and “I Want To Know What Love Is.” He followed with a solo career in the 1980s. Tickets $49-$79.

The shows join a 2014 lineup at the Arcada, 151 E. Main St. in St. Charles, that also includes previously announced concerts by Cheap Trick, Eddie Money and Paul Revere and the Raiders. For tickets and other information on upcoming shows, go to oshows.com or call (630) 962-7000.
