Glen Ellyn Park District Announces Winter Break Camps

GLEN ELLYN, IL – The Glen Ellyn Park District introduces several Winter Break Camps to keep kids active and occupied over the holiday. Camps are available for children ages 4 to 10.

If your child loves the world of sports, then don't miss the opportunity to expose your child to various sports at the Pee Wee Sportsters Camp (Age 4-6) or Young Sportsters Camp (Age 7-9). Participants will learn the fundamentals of basketball, baseball, kickball, soccer and more. Organized games emphasize sportsmanship, sharing and teamwork.

Does your child love basketball? Basketball Skills Camp (Age 7-9) is a fun and instructional basketball experience that will help boys and girls improve their dribbling, passing, shooting and rebounding. Participants will also learn the proper defensive stance, practice zone defense, and experience man-to-man defense through challenging drills and structured games.

Future Gymnastics All-Stars will enjoy Jr. Gymnastics Camp (Age 4-6) or Gymnastics Camp (Age 7-10). Kids will learn the proper techniques for various pieces of equipment such as vault, beam, floor, and high bar. Equipment is tailor-made for the participants to ensure success as well as safety.

All Glen Ellyn Park District Winter Break Camps take place Thursday, January 2-Friday, January 3. To register for a camp, please visit www.gepark.org. Participants should register early, as a limited number of spaces are available in each camp.
