Five more gold coins have been discovered in Salvation Army kettles in Lake County, the organization announced Friday. Four coins were discovered in kettles in Grayslake, Round Lake Beach and Waukegan. A fifth coin was found Thursday in a kettle in Lake Zurich, the same kettle in which four coins were found the previous day. In total, the gold in the coins is worth an estimated $6,998.
