The skinny: This is the first meeting of the season between the Hawks and Ducks, who are off to an 18-7-5 start. Anaheim is battling some serious injuries with defensemen Sheldon Souray (wrist), Francois Beauchemin (upper body), Luca Sbisa (wrist), goalie Viktor Fasth (lower body) and forward Jakob Silfverberg (broken hand) all sidelined.
