Arlington Hts. Legion Post 208 shares Thanksgiving with Naval recruits

Veterans and volunteers at American Legion Post 208 in Arlington Heights continued their Thanksgiving Day tradition of entertaining recruits from the Great Lakes Naval Training Center.

This year, 36 young men and women spent the day enjoying a full turkey dinner, making free phone calls home, playing pool and engaging in video action games.

The Arlingtones, a local men’s vocal group, provided musical entertainment and the lavish dessert table, courtesy of Post Auxiliary members, was appreciated by the recruits.
