Schaumburg bazaar proceeds to aid tornado victims

The Schaumburg Park Foundation is donating all the money raised at Tuesday’s Holiday Bazaar to Illinois disaster relief efforts to help families impacted by the Nov. 17 tornadoes.

The foundation donated $2,100 to the Park and Recreation Disaster Relief Fund organized by the Illinois Association of Park Districts. The entire donation will be given to families in the Washington area.

“We hope the contribution helps make an impact on families rebuilding their lives,” said foundation Executive Vice President Pat Casler. “The foundation trustees are proud to offer this support.”

The foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting parks and recreation-related endeavors.
