The wins kept Illinois (7-0) undefeated.

Rice scored 25 points and had 10 rebounds in the 61-59 road win over UNLV. He also hit the game-winning short with 28 seconds left on the clock.

It's Rice's first Big Ten honor. The junior joined the Illini this season after transferring from Drake. He sat out last season under NCAA transfer rules.
