West Chicago gallery features wearable art

West Chicago’s Gallery 200 presents “Wonderful & Wearable” this month at 200 Main St.

The eclectic selection of handmade jewelry, jackets, vests, T-shirts and scarves crafted by local and area artists is a repeat performance of last year’s highly successful event that drew people from surrounding communities to browse and buy unique wearable art pieces.

The artists who are featured are as interesting as the pieces they create, and this year include: Marge Hall, Betty James, Sandy McLain, Heide Morris, First Star Art, Nancy Ricck, Britta Renwick, Sue Weibler and Mandy Jones.

Wonderful & Wearable showcases the prolific artistic talent that resides in and around West Chicago, while offering those that appreciate artisan-crafted jewelry and accessories the opportunity to purchase a one-of-a-kind piece for everyone on their gift list at an affordable price

Regular gallery hours are noon to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. For more information, contact (630) 293-9550, or www.gallery200.org.
