$1 million winning ticket sold in Bloomingdale

An area resident could be $1 million richer after a Bloomingdale store sold a winning lottery ticket for the Mega Millions game.

Illinois Lottery officials on Wednesday announced the “quick pick” ticket was sold at Meijer, 130 South Gary Ave. The ticket matched the first five numbers, but not the Mega Ball, in Tuesday night’s Mega Millions drawing. The winning numbers: 27-44-59-74-75-(03)

The winner has yet to come forward. Meanwhile, the retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus, 1 percent of the prize amount, for selling a winning ticket.

Lottery officials said the Mega Millions jackpot wasn’t won on Tuesday night and now stands at an estimated $230 million for Friday’s drawing.
