The village of Mount Prospect held its tree-lighting ceremony Wednesday evening at village hall.

As part of the ceremony, the Madrigal Singers of Prospect High School performed, and the Lions Club served hot cocoa.

A Christkindlmarket was held in the village hall community center before and after the tree lighting, offering people a chance to choose from a variety of creative gifts from local vendors.
