Dining events: Specials abound at Wheeling restaurants

Dine around Wheeling

Enjoy special offers, gourmet dining experiences and even free samples through Dec. 15 during Wheeling's annual “Dine Around the Town” promotion. Participating restaurants include Benihana, Bob Chinn's, Buca di Beppo, Cooper's Hawk, Nibbles Play Cafe, Saranello, Superdawg and Lynfred Winery.

Bowl with the Bears

Eat and bowl with past and present Chicago Bears at Brunswick's Buffalo Grove from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3. The night includes celeb sightings from current players and alumni, including Gale Sayers, as well as dinner, cocktails, bowling, laser tag, billiards and games, and live and silent auctions. Proceeds go to Bears Care. $250 for two, or $150 for an individual ticket.

Tokio Pub's yoga brunch Sundays

Tokio Pub partnered with TriBalance Studio in Schaumburg for a yoga brunch on Sundays through December. A 60-minute yoga class starts at 10 a.m. on Tokio's enclosed patio and will be followed by a three-course brunch. The menu includes raw and pickled market vegetables with jalapeño, cilantro hummus, sea salt and olive oil; steamed grouper with brown rice stir-fry, snap peas and a sesame-ginger vinaigrette; and brioche popover with mango curd, powdered sugar and ginger-infused berries. $30 per person.
