Westmont man faces child porn charges after undercover probe
A 23-year-old Westmont man was charged with child pornography possession after an undercover investigation by DuPage County authorities, police said Monday.
Matthew W. Spencer was arrested Thursday on six counts of felony child pornography possession. He also was charged with marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The arrest followed an “intensive” joint undercover investigation by Wheaton police and the DuPage County Sheriff’s Sexual Electronic Exploitation Division, according to a news release.
Police said Spencer was being held on $100,000 bail, meaning he would have to post $10,000 to be released. His next court date is Dec. 2 in front of Judge Robert Kleeman.
