Mundelein High to hold Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving

Mundelein High School's annual Turkey Trot 5K and one-mile kids and family run/walk is set for Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 28, the school said in a news release. The 5K will start on the MHS track at 8:30 a.m. for ages 11 and older; the one-mile run/walk will begin at 9:30 a.m. for ages 10 and under. Parents or siblings may participate with children in the one-mile at no charge. Participants may register on the school's website at www.d120.org through midnight on Monday, Nov. 25. Cost is $25 preregistration or $30 on the day of the race for the 5K. Cost for the one-mile for kids 10 and under is $15, which includes a shirt. Registration packets may be picked up Wednesday, Nov. 27, from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Golden Legs on Seymour Street in Mundelein. All proceeds from the event go toward MHS track and cross country teams to purchase additional sweats and a tent.
