Marley is a service dog who helps Martinez's young daughter who suffers with Rett syndrome.

The family has had Marley for about a year after acquiring her from MidAmerica Service Dogs in Hinsdale. Marley was trained by inmates at the Dwight Correctional Center as part of the Helping Paws program.

The facility, southwest of Joliet, closed earlier this year.
