The annual holiday lighting ceremony in the village of Wheeling -- now called "Lights Around Wheeling" -- will begin at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, in Friendship Park, the northeast corner of Dundee Road and Milwaukee Avenue. Highlights of the free event will be photo opportunities with Santa and Mrs. Claus, hot cocoa and cookies and live holiday music by the Wheeling High School band and the Spring Valley Chorus. Young attendees can also ride a kiddie train from Great Kiddie Train Express. And oh, yes, the holiday lights will turn on.
