Villa Park comedian gets one on one with Ditka!

If you ask Matt Kissane if he ever dreamt he'd be interviewing Mike Ditka for Mancow TV on WPWR-TV or if he'd be sharing the stage withSaturday Night Live greats like Kevin Nealon or Second City guys like Dave Pasquesi and Susan Messing he'd probably say no way! But all these things have happened to the Windy City funny man over the past few years including auditioning for now famous State Farm TV commercials with NFL QB Aaron Rodgers and the "Real" Super Fans George Wendt and Robert Smigel. "I knew that is was a long shot but you need to be positive when going out for something you know you'll probably never get." Kissane says, "When I saw the ads running on TV non-stop I was just feeling honored that I even got to try out for them." Kissane has been "Trying out" for stuff since college when he walked into 30 Rockefeller Center in New York City as a 19 year college student and was offered an full semester internship for then NBC News anchor Tom Brokaw, "I was really trying to get an internship with SNL or (David) Letterman! Ya know the funny guys!" Kissane has been more successful working on TV news shows then actual comedies. Besides Brokaw he did six years on WGN's Morning show as a contributor and freelance performer and most recently as a semi regular on Mancow TV on WPWR out of Chicago.
