Jason Alread named one of nation's top 30 design educators

Jason Alread, an associate professor of architecture at Iowa State University and son of Robert and Linda Alread of Antioch, has been named one of the 30 most admired design educators in the nation for 2014 by Design Architecture, a bimonthly publication for leaders in design professions.

Rankings cover accredited programs in Architecture, industrial design, interior design and landscape architecture.

The 14th annual survey was conducted in mid 2013 on behalf of the Design Futures Council.

The top 30 were selected by the magazine staff based on extensive input from thousands of design professionals, academic department heads and students.

Alread, who is also Director of Graduate Studies in the Department of Architecture, has been on the Iowa State faculty since 2002.
