The merchants in downtown Barrington will host a Holiday Wine Walk from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23. The event kicks off the holiday shopping season by introducing shoppers and visitors to the unique shops and restaurants in Barrington.

More than 30 shops and restaurants are participating. The Holiday Wine Walk will offer free wine tastings and other tasty treats at each of the merchant stops. In addition, there will be wine tastings at The Annex, Vin Chicago and Grassroots from 2 to 6 p.m.

Customers can begin the Holiday Wine Walk at any participating business by picking up a location map for the tastings.

"The Holiday Wine Walk is a wonderful opportunity for shoppers and visitors to experience the shops and restaurants in the downtown Barrington, the Shops on Lageschulte and Ice House Mall to highlight their merchandise, unique gifts and specialty items," said Anne Garrette, marketing and events coordinator for the village.
