Chili, soup fundraiser to help S. Elgin Scouts fund trip

Boy Scout Troop 21 High Adventure Crew invites the community to a "Chili & Potato Soup Dinner" starting at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at Community United Methodist Church, 400 W. Spring St., South Elgin.

They will be serving chili and cornbread, potato soup and bread, as well as desserts. The dinner follows "Almost Winter Day" held by South Elgin Parks and Recreation at SEBA Park, culminating with the tree lighting. Enjoy the activities at the park and come warm up with chili or soup. The HA crew is going backpack hiking at Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, N.M. and are raising funds to help support the group's trip expenses.
