Schaumburg Park District holiday decorating contest

Schaumburg Park District residents are invited to decorate their homes and showcase them in the annual Holiday House Decorating Contest. The first 10 houses entered will be judged on originality, arrangement, theme and overall design.

Judging will take place the evenings of Dec. 5 and 9 during the House Decorating Tour, which residents can also sign up for. The contest is free and open to all houses within the Schaumburg Park District boundaries.

Entry forms are available at and must be submitted by 9 p.m. Dec. 2 at the Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road. The tour will be for adults only on Dec. 5 and all ages on Dec. 9. The cost is $8 per resident and $12 per nonresident.
