St. Hubert School Girl Scouts kick off holiday season

On November 8, 2013, 85 Saint Hubert School Girl Scouts (from Daisies to Ambassadors) and their families gathered at Spring Valley Nature Center in Schaumburg to kick off the holiday season.

The girls made smores, shared treats, sang Christmas caroles and scout songs by the bonfire, and most importantly, gathered in the log cabin to make special Christmas ornaments that will adorn the trees and spread cheer at St. Alexius Women and Children's Hospital.

Saint Hubert School fourth grade Junior Troop 40339 organized the event from start to finish, choosing the ornaments, creating a budget, and teaching each group how to complete their crafts.

Each girl earned a unique patch, signifying her participation in this amazing event.

Saint Hubert School is located in Hoffman Estates and serves students in preschool thru 8th grade.
