Preview the future home of the Lake County Discovery Museum while sipping champagne, enjoying chocolates and shopping for unique gift items at Chocolate, Champagne and Shopping, on Friday, Nov. 15, from 4:30 to 9 p.m. at the Lake County Forest Preserve general offices, 1899 W. Winchester Road, Libertyville. This annual fundraising event is presented by the Friends of the Lake County Discovery Museum and the Preservation Foundation of the Lake County Forest Preserves. Admission tickets are $15 in advance or $18 at the door. Price includes chocolates and champagne. Attendees must be 18 years or older. Throughout the evening, guests can shop for jewelry, candles, confections, soaps, cosmetics, spa products, tableware, books, clothing, accessories, fair trade gifts and many other specialty items from a variety of vendors.
